Fair Branding by Siamese Design Studio

Founded in 2013, Art Fair Philippines is the premier platform for exhibiting and selling the best in modern and contemporary Philippine visual art. The fair aims to mirror the vibrant local art scene and continues to generate support for Filipino art practitioners. The fair is committed to expanding the local audience for the visual arts. Art Fair Philippines makes art accessible to enthusiasts and those who want to discover one of Southeast Asia’s most exciting art landscapes.

I was employed by the Fair to execute various major environmental design and wayfinding items. These directional tools were vital as the 2026 edition of the Fair found itself in in a new venue – an office building with Ayala Circuit that was completely transformed into a six-floor art market. Working closely with Siamese Design Studio, I helped create a wayfinding system that covered all touchpoints: accordion maps to be handheld, wall maps for a quick glance per floor, elevator maps for immediate directions upon entrance, and stairwell directories for the more active and committed visitors of the Fair.

After 20 years since the release of their sophomore album, Kjwan asked SYQL (in partnership with 123 Block and Backspacer Records) to help stage “2(0) STEP MARV” – a celebration of the LP featuring a full album playthrough, guest acts Mayonnaise, Dilaw, and a DJ set by Chain Messages.

This celebration was also  commemorated by the first vinyl release of 2 Step Marv, by Backspacer Records.
